The annual Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan was held on September 13 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Albany. Guest Preacher was the Reverend J. Barrie Shepherd. Reverend Shepherd is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, Yale Divinity School, Yale Graduate School and Hartford Theological Seminary. He was the Chaplain of the St. Andrew’s Society of Philadelphia. He is the author of many wonderful books of holiday verse and prose. Clan banners were paraded in procession to the sound of pipes and drums. This was a wonderful event that included the Albany Pipe Band and our own Piper to the Society and Secretary Gordon Peters and our President, Patrick Foy, a member of the congregation.
